When people think of gardening, vegetables always comes to mind first.  Beside using a garden for planting vegetables, it can be used for other things too.  If you are into butterfly, you should consider butterfly gardening.  This is simply growing flowers and plants that will attract the butterfly to your garden.

The design of the butterfly garden will be your own personal preference.  However, you will want to consider the size of your garden and types of flowers and plants you want to grow.  Choose a style of garden that you like, bit ensure it also contains flowers and plants that will attract the butterflies.

Before purchasing any plants, it is important to find out which plants will attract the species of butterflies in your area.  Each species of butterflies are only attracted to certain plants and knowing which one will increase your chance of the butterflies you want.  This information can be found online or at the local library.

When planting the plants for your butterfly garden, it’s really how you want it to look.  You can plant the flowers in a certain design or just randomly pick a spot and planting them.  Some of the flowers that butterflies are attracted to are flowers that have nectar rather than pollen.  Th is includes summer lilac, Yellow Sage, lavender, milkweed, and honeysuckle.

Having a butterfly garden is will definitely make any yard more beautiful, especially when there are butterflies around.  As long as you keep the flowers and plants healthy, you can expect to see butterflies every single day.
